Archibald School Clubs & Extended Services
School Clubs
At Archibald Primary we run a number of clubs which take place before school, at dinnertime and after school from 3.00 - 4.00 pm or 4.30 pm.

All children have the opportunity to participate in the clubs although some are targetted at certain groups of pupils.

Each lunchtime Mr Farrington runs a football club for KS2 pupils on a rota

Extended Services
In addition to a range of study support activities for pupils and some targetted at pupils and parents working togewther we also offer a range of activities and opportuinities which contribute to our Core Offer of Extended Services.

1. High quality wraparound childcare in primary schools provided on the school site or through other local providers, with supervised transport arrangements where appropriate, available 8am - 6pm all year round or to reflect community demand. We offer a Breakfast Club (see left) and work in close collaboration with our on site childcare Provider "Sunflowers".

2. Varied menu of activities to be on offer, including homework clubs and study support, sport, music tuition, dance and drama, arts and crafts, special interest clubs (see above and left)

3. Parenting support including information sessions for parents at key transition points, parenting programmes run with the support of other children's services and family learning sessions to allow children to learn with their parents. Much of this work is coordinated by our Parents Support Adviser, Miss Brannigan.

4.Swift and easy access to a wide range of specialist support services such as speech therapy, child and adolescent mental health services, family support services and intensive behaviour support. Some may be delivered on our school site. Again much of this work in coordinated by our Parent Support Adviser, Miss Brannigan in collaboration with Mrs George our SENCo and our Mentor Team.

5. Providing wider community access to ICT, sports and arts facilities and adult learning and sign-posting to existing community facilities. Adult Education Classes are available and tend to take place on a Monday Morning. The focus of these courses is responsive to demand.
