Our School
The school site lies between Ayresome Green Lane and Barnaby Avenue. There are entrance gates at both ends to serve children who approach the school from different directions. Most children use the entrance nearest to their house.

The school was opened in 1913 and is designed round separate classrooms off a central corridor. It occupies two large buildings, each with a ground and first floor.

Following extensive refurbishment in 2003 the buildings are now joined on each floor.

There are two separate dining rooms, with a kitchen between. These are situated to the west of the site. The dining rooms are separated from the main school building by a large grassed area.

Attractive play spaces surround the school buildings.
The nursery unit is in the main school building and has its own soft play area which is also used by the Puzzles Daycare Centre. The Reception classes also have their own play area to the north of the main building. These attractive areas are kept secure by a fence and bolted gates.

There is a staff car park with fencing around it. Because of Health and Safety reasons, the staff car park is out of bounds to all
children, and to parent’s cars. There is a car park adjacent to the dining rooms and kitchen which parents can use when dropping off and picking up their children from school and nursery.

Visitors to school must report to the main reception upon arrival.
